Welcome To Our Year 3 Home Page
Here you will be able to find out key information and specific updates for all children in Year 3, along with a chance to catch up with what your child has been up to in school. You will find content for both Y3 classes on this page so even if we have mixed the children for a particular activity, you will still be able to see what your own child has been up to easily in one location.
To the right-hand side (or possibly below if viewing on a mobile device) you will see links to our wider content such as our Year 3 Blog and further down the page you will see the latest posts from our class Twitter Feeds.
At the very bottom of the page, we will post any useful documents that you or your child might need this year. Most of these will open in a new window but should be available for download if you wish to keep a copy.
Whilst many updates will come through the Latest News area in the Parents Section, its worth keeping an eye out in here too...

Daily Routines

Lunch Menu Choices
PE Kit
Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. We ask that children have their P.E. kits in school all week. PE kit includes black shorts and white t-shirts with pumps or trainers. Children should also bring an outdoor PE kit for Tuesdays. This could include: tracksuit, jogging bottoms, hoodie, jumper or fleece and trainers. We would also ask that parents remove earrings on the PE days, if children cannot do this themselves.
Reading Diaries
School have moved over to an online system to record home and school reading. This application is called Boom Reader and all parents/carers have received information about this. You should be recording every time your child reads at home and what they have read. Children will receive dojo points for their home reading efforts. If you need any support or help with this, please pop in and speak to your child's class teacher - they are more than happy to help.
Library
Our library day is Wednesday but children will need to bring their library book to school every day. They have the choice of swapping the book if they have read it or keeping it to finish their book.
Supporting Your Child's Learning
As well as reading at home, the children have been given passwords for TTRockstars. This is an online application which supports times tables and is an amazing way for your child to learn their tables and secure knowledge. No tonly to progress in maths, but also in preparation for the multiplication check, they sit in Y4. The log ins were sent out during transition. If you require your child's log-in information, please contact your child's class teacher.

In our singing assemblies we try to share the love of singing together. We choose a range of modern and classic songs and also take requests from the children.
