Football Club - Summer 2023
Dear parent/guardian,
After the Easter holidays, the coaches from Rotherham United will be continuing their two football coaching sessions, one for Y3/4 children and one for Y5/6 children. The Y3/4 club will run on Tuesday evenings from 3pm-4pm, starting on the 18th April and the Y5/6 club will run on Wednesday evenings from 3pm-4pm, starting on the 19th April. The club will run for an 11 week block, with the final session being on the week beginning the 3rd of July.
If your child wishes to attend, you should complete the appropriate form as early as possible by following the appropriate link below. Anyone who has more than 1 child who wishes to attend the club, please fill in a form for each child:
Any submissions received after the 17th March may not be considered so please don’t leave it too late if your child wishes to attend.
If you would like your child to participate in the club, you must complete the appropriate form above. Upon completion of the form, you will be sent a link to make a one-off contribution of £11 towards the cost of the club (£1 per week). Upon receipt of this payment, you will receive confirmation that your child has a place reserved at the club.
If you do not receive a confirmation email by Friday 31st of March and you have filled in the form and made the payment, please contact the school.
As the weather improves, we will look to use the school fields instead of the Sports Hall for the club. However, if the weather is really bad, we may move the sessions indoors. For this reason, it is important that any child attending the club has a suitable PE kit for both indoor and outdoor sessions which will include black shorts, a white t-shirt and clean trainers.
While we always try to ensure the children have fun and enjoy themselves, we will be expecting them to engage positively with the learning delivered and develop their skills. That will include listening to and following instructions and being considerate towards others. If there is a problem with behaviour consistently falling below expectations, parents will be informed and children may be asked to no longer participate in the club.
Many thanks for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you before the 31st of March.
Yours sincerely,
I. MacDonald
P.E. co-ordinator
