Y4 Sound

Y4 made an ear using their bodies.

We made an ear consisting of the pinna, an ear canal, an ear drum (tympanic membrane), 3 small bones called the incus, malleus and stapes, the cochlea, an auditory nerve and the brain.

The children were able to explain how sounds are made and how these vibrations travel through different parts of our ears before the hairs in the cochlea convert them into an electrical signal for the brain to understand.
