As part of their DT project, the Y6 pupils put their new sewing skills to the test in order to investigate, design and create their own Christmas stockings. It was a festive and fun challenge for all!
We were so proud of all of our Y6 pupils during our Christmas musical extravaganza! They performed confidently through drama, song and dance, entertaining our infant visitors and community during three separate shows. Thank you to all who were able to attend and support them.

As Scientists, the Y6 have been carrying out a range of different investigations about Light. They have learned how light travels, how shadows are formed, reflection, refraction and the light spectrum, through thinking scientifically and completing practical experiments too.
Y6 had an important talk by PC Paul Gray about the dangers of knives and what the law states. He was very impressed with the children's questions and responses too.
In art, our Y6 children have learned about local sculptor Barbara Hepworth - her work and her unique style. They have also created their own clay scultures in the style of this artist too. Take a walk through our mini exhibition!
As historians, our Y6 have used their research skills, artefacts and a range of historical sources from World War II , to learn about the Blitz, countries involved and the impact it had on our lives today.
Y6 Enjoyed at trip to Crucial Crew, where they learned about different laws, safety in the home and community, emergency services, being a responsible citizen, on-line safety, road saftey and travelling on public transport. They also took part in a court room scenario with a real judge!
