The Y6 pupils have been working hard this week to improve, edit and work towards publishing their own narratives, inspired from the class text: 'Pig Heart Boy' by Malorie Blackman. It has encouraged a few of them to start writing their own stories at home too! How wonderful!
This week, the children have started their new Geography project.To build on prior knowledge, they had the challenge of remembering where all the continents and oceans are positions and what they are called. They were pretty accurate too!
Y6 have loved learning about the artisit Banksy - his unique style and the messages that he controversially shares through his work. They have designed their own stunning name tags - graffiti style.
A fantastic effort to wear 'number-related' outfits was made today. The children enjoyed taking part in some fun number investigations and their second TT Rockstars competition too.
The Y6 children enjoyed another lesson from PC Paul Gray - this time about being safe online. This is more important than ever, as many more children have phones and computers and there are so many safety updates and new APPs that we all need to be aware of.

The Y6 children enjoyed a spot of geology in science today, as they studied, observed and classifyed a range of different fossils, for their science studies on 'Evolution and Inheritance' and learned about scientis Charles Darwin and his theories too.
Lot's of festive fun and games were enjoyed at our Christmas party. The children also enjoyed their party treats too. Thank you to parents for providing this.
