Year 5 Home
Welcome To Our Year 5 Home Page
Here you will be able to find out key information and specific updates for all children in Year 5, along with a chance to catch up with what your child has been up to in school. You will find content for both Y5 classes on this page so even if we have mixed the children for a particular activity, you will still be able to see what your own child has been up to easily in one location.
To the right-hand side (or possibly below if viewing on a mobile device) you will see links to our wider content such as our Year 5 Blog.
At the very bottom of the page, we will post any useful documents that you or your child might need this year. Most of these will open in a new window but should be available for download if you wish to keep a copy.
Whilst many updates will come through the Latest News area in the Parents Section, its worth keeping an eye out in here too...
As ever, we hope your child will have a great time in Year 5, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any worries or need to update us on anything of a more sensitive nature.
Kind Regards,
Miss Ballard and Mr MacDonald

Lunch Menu Choices
Please see the attachment below for our latest dinner menu.
PE Kit
Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. We ask that children have their P.E. kits in school all week. PE kit includes black shorts and white T-shirts with pumps or trainers. Children should also bring an outdoor PE kit for Mondays. This could consist of a tracksuit, jogging bottoms, hoodie, jumper or fleece and trainers. We would also ask that parents remove earrings on PE days if children cannot do this themselves.
Home Reading
Reading at home will be recorded on Boom reader this year. It's easy to use and allows teachers to instantly see (and reward) those children who are reading at home.
Library
Our library day is Wednesday so children will need to bring their library book each Wednesday. They have the choice of swapping the book if they have read it or keeping it to finish their book.
Singing Assembly
In our singing assemblies we try to share the love of singing together. We choose a range of modern and classic songs and also take requests from the children. By clicking on the link below, you will be able to see some of the content we use on our purpose-built website. You can practice and sing along at home to help raise your confidence and learn some of the more difficult parts within the songs. Click Here to visit our Singing Assembly Website.
