As Christmas approaches, our schedule has been packed with extra activities. We’ve focused on rehearsing for the Christmas play and preparing for the Christmas fair, which took place on Thursday and was a fantastic success.

English: The children have completed their narratives and neatly written them up. They have also finished a SPaG test.

Guided Reading: We started analysing a poem about waterways in the UK and practiced inference and retrieval skills using a new book.

Maths: The children have strengthened their understanding of the 11 and 12 times tables. By the end of the week, they consolidated their knowledge by learning to multiply by 1 and 0.

DT: We wrapped up our DT unit by evaluating our greeting cards.
