Another great week was had in year 5 this week:

The TTrockstars competition was great fun. The stand-out performers in 5B were Zachary in 3rd place, Thomas in 2nd place and Jaicob in 1st place. In 5M, Maria took 3rd place, Max W 2nd place and Priyenthen 1st place.

Overall, 5M won the school competition with Max taking 2nd place and Priyenthen collecting the most coins in the entire school!

Y5M regained their hold on the attendance trophy, scoring back-to-back wins to chalk up their 4th victory this year.

All this was in addition to a wonderful snowy Tuesday where the children were allowed time to enjoy the snow with their friends.

Notices:

Children will start practising for the school Christmas play this week so get ready for the excitement to start building and singing around the house.

The children need their P.E. kits on Thursday this week, although we do ask them to be in school all week if possible. Earrings should be removed before school on P.E. days please. 

All children need their library books on Wednesday.

Next week's learning:
- In maths, we will continue our unit on fractions.
- In English, we will continue a new unit on non-fiction texts.
- In reading, we will continue focusing on non-fiction texts.
- In geography, we will be continuing our unit on 'Tectonic plates, Earthquakes and Volcanoes'.
- In music, we will continue our unit looking at 'Living on a prayer'.
- In science, we will continue our work on forces. 
- In P.E. we will continue our units on netball and gymnastics
- In D+T, we will continue constructing our bird hide models.
- In PSHE, we will look at bullying.
