We can’t believe we’ve already reached the end of week 6 of the first half of the autumn term! Read on to discover all the exciting things we've been learning this week.

Maths: At the start of the week, the children worked hard to read Roman numerals up to 100. They then learnt how to round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100.

English: This week, the children began generating ideas for their own diary entries.

Reading: We started the fourth chapter of The Iron Man, focusing on inference and retrieval skills.

PE: In indoor PE, we focused on developing agility through changes in speed and direction. In outdoor PE, we worked on changing direction and speed while dribbling.

Science: The children explored how temperature changes impact the water cycle.

History: We studied what led to the decline of the Indus Valley civilisation.

Computing: This week, we discussed web ownership and whether we can use someone else’s content as our own.

Spanish: We reviewed numbers 1 to 20 and then learnt how to answer the question, “How old are you?” in Spanish.

Art: We continued our block printing project, inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa.
