What a week it has been in Year 4!

As we're sure you will have seen from all the pictures on Dojos, the children have had a wonderful time in Castleton. It was lovely to see the determination on their faces as we scaled Mam Tor and the sense of achievement and pride once our mission was complete. A huge well done to all.

• Maths: We have continued to partition numbers to 10,000 moving onto partitioning flexibly.
• English: We have started to write our own paragraph adding onto a good character description of the BFG.
• Reading: We have used Chapter 2 of The Iron Man to work on our retrieval skills.
• History: We have become historians to investigate artefacts that were discovered in the Indus Valley.
• Art: We have looked at how to create an effective line drawing.

Special Mentions: Well done to Emily-Rose and Jacob (4H), and Dawson and Olivia (4P) for their outstanding efforts this week.
