Spring Term - Week 1 - Weekly Update
What an amazing half term we had in Year 3 for Spring 1. The children all worked their socks off and continued to do their teacher's and the Year 3 staff proud!

Notices:

• We have an Inset day on Monday, 19th February 2024
• All children need their PE kits for Tuesday and Thursdays this half term.
• All children need their library books on Wednesday, please with reading journals. Reading journals should be in school everyday along with a water bottle. 
• Parents' meeting slots are available for you to book! If you have any issues, please email us directly or pop into school and speak to a member of the office team.

This week's learning:
- In Maths, we will be continuing our unit on multiplication and division.
- In English, we will be publishing our narrative writing and looking at different poetry types.
- In Miss Brown's Reading, we will be analysing a non-fiction text on famous landmarks in the UK and around the world. In Mrs Pritchard's reading, we will be looking at the book Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne. 

- In Science, we will continue our Light topic.
- In Geography, we start our new unit on Famous Landmarks around the world.
- In RE, we will begin looking at the religion Hinduism.

- In Design technology, we will be starting our new Food unit. Please keep your eyes out for emails from your child's class teacher around allergies and taste testing. 

We hope the children have had a lovely half term break and are ready for a busy and exciting half term.
