End of Autumn 2 Week 2 Message and Updates
We are really pleased with our Year 5's. They are a genuinely lovely group and their independence and maturity are growing week upon week.

UPDATES:

All children need their PE kits for Monday and Wednesday. 

All children need their library books on Thursday, please.

Friday 17th November - Children in Need - Children to dress up in spots/yellow/Pudsey clothing/PJs for a small donation.

Starting next week, we will be welcoming a student (Miss Rothwell) who is a first-year student training to be a teacher at Sheffield Hallam University. Miss Rothwell will mainly be working with Mrs. Goodinson and the children in Y5G. 

Next week:
- In Maths, we will be finishing our unit on multiplication and division.
- In English, we will be continuing our learning of 'character descriptions'
- In Reading, we will be analysing more non-fiction texts based on earthquakes and volcanoes

- In Science, we will be starting our new unit on Forces.
- In Geography, we will continue our unit on tectonic plates, earthquakes and volcanoes.
- In PSHE, we are continuing our unit of 'me and my relationships.'
- In PE, we continue to develop our skills in 'basketball'.

- In Design Technology, we will be experimenting with ways to join materials for our 'bird hide'.

- In RE, we will continue our unit on 'Christians and the bible'.
